Third-party Vendor Comparison Reports
In January 2012 Idealware published the free 63-page Consumers Guide to Integrated Software for Community Foundations, which compares the strengths and weaknesses of 5 integrated software solutions for community foundations. The report includes a description of the types of software features that are available for community foundations, as well as a comparison chart, summaries, and reviews of the 5 featured systems.
In October 2011 Idealware published the free updated 183-page Consumers Guide to Grants Management Sofware, an excellent review of 22 software packages for private or family grant makers with lists of features to learn about, regardless of which solution you choose.
In November, 2009, Barrington Partners released the Review of Integrated Systems for Community Foundations which was commissioned by the Council of Foundations’ Community Foundations Leadership Team as an update to their 2005 comparative review of the principal integrated software solutions offered to the community foundation field. The goal is to provide a framework to assist community foundations to best match vendor and system characteristics and functions to their needs.
