About Our Foundation

Bromelkamp Foundation is a program at Bromelkamp Company which was established to be responsive to the nonprofit needs of our employees’ communities, while at the same time providing a learning opportunity regarding the work of our clients. Our Foundation serves non-profits in the communities where Bromelkamp Company employees live and work. Our grant making priority for 2013 is homelessness. We use the same tools that our clients do - Pearl, eGrant.net, and the eGrant.net Reviewer, so we can stay in touch with the user’s experience.
Eligible applicants must verify that they are a charitable organization and include their Federal Identification number within the application. To submit an application for funding from the Bromelkamp Foundation you must create an eGrant.net account and follow the instructions within the application.
Grant funds come from a share of company profits and company matches of employee volunteer time. The board of directors is the staff, and during each cycle, members take turns performing philanthropic roles such as Program Officer, Grants Administrator, and Communications Director, so that we each gain experience in philanthropy. The Bromelkamp Foundation holds one grant cycle annually. We invite our clients to participate as grant reviewers. They will review a selection of proposals and make recommendations to the Bromelkamp Foundation Board. The maximum grant amount is $2,000. There are no grant award reporting requirements.
The focus of Bromelkamp Foundation’s grant making for 2013 is:
Homelessness – Programming that helps to improve the quality of life of the homeless. This includes, but is not restricted to, food banks, shelters, job training or housing assistance.
